Paul Graville’s ongoing project, Catalogue, is a framework for the continued exploration of both individuals and social structures. Individual pieces, often groups of images, emerge from this body of work. Graville presents his portraits backlit at exactly life size, allowing the audience to engage with the subjects in exquisite detail. This is an opportunity that wouldn’t be possible in person and provokes the viewer to confront questions about their own identity.
